Course dates : – 5th March  – 2nd April.

 Class time – Wednesday   9.30 am – 12.30 pm.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of wheel throwing. You will learn practical skills in the making of functional and decorative forms on the wheel as well as methods of decorating and glazing work. There is a strong focus on teaching skills and techniques through a structured, supportive learning environment. Classes are suitable for beginners to advanced students.

Course fee: $275 – 5 weeks, (15 hours tuition) Enrolment is for a 3 hour class in the same time slot each week.

Fee also includes supply of  5 kilos clay, underglazes, glazes and use of tools and equipment.

Firing cost is extra, ($7.00 per kilo x 2 firings). Average  firing fee for a beginning student is approximately $25 – $30 per course. Firing service is not provided for work made outside of classes.

Each student has a wheel for their exclusive use during  throwing classes.
